  • Dead Sociologists' Society
    Accurate information on the lives and works of 16 key sociologists (Auguste Comte, Harriet Martineau, Karl Marx, Herbert Spencer, Emile Durkheim, Georg Simmel, Max Weber, Thorstein Veblen, Jane Addams, Charles Horton Cooley, George Herbert Mead, Robert Ezra Park, William I. Thomas, W.E.B. Dubois, Vilfredo Pareto, and Pitirim A. Sorokin) has been compiled here and is maintained by a psychology faculty member at Pfeiffer University in Charlotte, NC.

  • Making of America: American Social History
    This site is a joint venture of the University of Michigan and Cornell University, providing images of primary sources in American Social history from the antebellum period through reconstruction.

  • Occasio: Digital Social History Archive
    The Occasio project (published by the International Institute of Social History) archives the digital documents related to social, political and environmental issues; currently there are over 900,000 items included in the archive.

  • The SocioLog
    An internet guide to sociology, this site has links to general and specific topic resources, university departments, research institutes & other organizations, journals, mailing lists, and sites on individual sociologists.  It was created and is maintained by an assistant professor in the Institute of Asian Research at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

  • Sociological Subject Areas
    A directory of links arranged alphabetically on topics in the field of sociology, this site was created and is maintained by a faculty member in sociology/cultural anthropology at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

  • A Sociology Timeline from 1600
    This site provides a timeline of significant events in the field of sociology from 1600 to 1995, created by a professor emeritus of demography/sociology at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA.
