Resources on the Web
  • Classics in the History of Psychology
    A full-text collection of "historically significant public domain documents from the scholarly literature of psychology and allied disciplines," this site is searchable by keyword or can be browsed by author or topic.  The site was created and is maintained by an associate professor of psychology at York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

  • Cognitive and Psychological Sciences
    This site provides access to resources relevant to research in cognitive science and psychology.

  • Current Topics in Psychology
    An organized, quick reference collection of articles, web sites, and research tools, this site was created and is maintained by a clinical psychologist. It also includes links to comprehensive resources such as Web of Addiction, PsychCrawler, the Memory exhibition at the Exploratorium, etc., as well as a section of links to more specific topics such as articles on ergonomics, internet addiction, etc.

  • Encyclopedia of Psychology
    The encyclopedia is actually a directory of sites, divided into several categories. Its content was designed by a professor of psychology at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL.

  • Great Ideas in Personality
    This web site covers topics and theories in the field of psychology such as attachment theory, interpersonal theory, intelligence, cognitive social theories, behavior genetics, the Five Factory and Penn models, and much more.  It was created and is maintained by an assistant professor of psychology at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY.

  • Mental Health Net
    This guide to mental health includes information on disorders such as depression, anxiety, panic attacks, chronic fatigue syndrome, substance abuse, and other addictions.   It also includes professional resources in psychology, psychiatry, social work and more, and is presented by CenterSite, LLC, in Dublin, OH.

  • Psyche Matters
    This site includes links to psychoanalytic bibliographies, papers previously published in scholarly journals, and on-line publications by those in the field.   It was developed and is maintained by a practicing psychotherapist from Dallas, TX.

  • Psych Web
    This site provides a few full-text resources including two classic books (Freud's The Interpretation of Dreams and William James' The Varieties of Religious Experience), brochures, journal articles, etc.  It was created and is maintained by an assistant professor of psychology at Georgia Southern University.
