  • The British Society for the History of Mathematics
    This web site is a directory of links on the history of mathematics.

  • The Electronic Library of Mathematics (ELibM)
    This site contains online journals, article collections, and monographs (books) in the field of mathematics. It is published by the European Mathematical Society in cooperation with FIZ Karlsruhe/Zentralblatt MATH.

  • Eric Weisstein's World of Mathematics
    A very comprehensive site on mathematics, this one acts as an encyclopedia and was designed for students, instructors and researchers. Subjects include algebra, applied mathematics, calculus & analysis, discrete mathematics, and the foundations and history of mathematics, to name just a few.

  • MacTutor History of Mathematics
    This history of mathematics web site includes more than 60 categories and biographies of over 1,400 mathematicians, and is searchable by chronological or alphabetical indexes.  It was created and is maintained by two professors of mathematics at the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of St Andrews in Scotland.

  • Math Archives
    This directory of links to numerous math topics, including history, is searchable by keyword or topic.

  • The Mathematical Atlas: A Gateway to Modern Mathematics
    Some articles about the subfields of math are available at this site. Coverage includes definitions, brief biographies, and a history of each topic.

  • Math Links
    Math Links is a directory that provides access to several math help sites.

  • Math Words
    Definitions to over 120 mathematical terms can be found at this site.

  • The Prime Pages
    This site provides information about prime numbers, including primers, articles & FAQs, prime number listings, and prime number software.

  • Professor Freedman's Math Help
    This site provides information about basic algebra.  In addition, there is information about study skills, math anxiety and how to identify your learning syle.

  • Purplemath - Your Algebra Resource
    This site, created by Elizabeth Stapel, who teaches at Western International University in Phoenix, AZ, provides good links to help on algebra.

  • S.O.S. Mathematics - Algebra
    Math help is available at this site on topics including algebra, trigonometry, calculus, differential equations, and more.

  • Webmath
    Step-by-step problem solving is available at this site.  Various levels of math problems are covered, from K-8 math to calculus.

  • Zona Land
    Published by Edward A Zobel, a high school math and physics teacher, this site contains educational and entertaining information pertaining to physics & mathematical sciences.  There are also tools and lessons intended to help students grasp the major concepts in algebra, geometry and physics.

  • Discrete Mathematics & Theoretical Computer Science
    DMTCS is a peer-reviewed electronic journal publishing cutting-edge research in the field.

  • The Discrete Mathematics Project
    The site is a collaborative project of the School of Education and the Department of Applied Mathematics at the University of Colorado at Boulder.  A glossary of discrete math definitions and links to various resources about discrete math are available.

  • The Math Forum @ Drexel
    A great site providing a wealth of links to information on mathematical topics, The Math Forum is presented by Drexel University in Philadelphia.

  • SIAM Journal on Discrete Mathematics
    The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics has made this publication available online.
