Online Catalog
Locating Books in the Library
Books in the Library

The Library has an online catalog that anyone can search via the Web (you will need to click on "students" in the navigation bar above and then on "library" in the navigation bar to the left to get back to the Library's pages from the catalog).

Simply click here to launch the catalog.

Note: one of the following web browsers is required to view the catalog
  • Internet Explorer
  • Opera
  • Netscape 6 (Gecko)
You may search the catalog by title, author, subject, call number, or combinations of these options.  For specific ideas on what searches might work well for a given topic, please see the subject guides provided by the Library.

Books Online

As a member of MINITEX, Academy College has access to more than 11,000 eBooks.  From any computer on campus, simply use the following link to get to the MnLINK gateway.  Click on "Search" and then click on "eBook Collection" in order to get to the netLibrary collection search screen.

If you would like to be able to access our eBooks from off campus as well, you can click on "Create a Free Account" in the upper right-hand corner of the netLibrary screen (this must be done from on campus).  Once you have created an account, you can use that login to access the collection directly from www.netlibrary.com at any computer with Web access.

Please see the Librarian if you need more help with access or searching.

Online Encyclopedia

Academy College has a subscription to the online version of Encyclopædia Britannica, Britannica Online.  As with our other subscription services, this resource has restricted on campus/proxy access.

Articles in the Library and Online

To further help patrons find what they need, the Library has developed a Periodical Catalog that lists the titles of the magazines, journals, and newspapers to which we have physical subscriptions (as opposed to ones that are indexed in the Online Databases).  It also lists which issues of each we have on the shelf.
